The Gustavus Visitor's Association is the organization that local tourist-related business owners formed to provide information to people wanting to come here. Please take a gander at it.

For activities in Gustavus, you'll have a great time kayaking. You can either rent a kayak from Glacier Bay Sea Kayak or take a day trip with an experienced guide from one of 2 companies that are also located here... Spirit Walker Expeditions kayaks in Icy Passage to Pleasant Island, in the Tongass Rainforest.

A favorite activity is Whale watching.. one of our favorite boats is the TAZ Icy Straits and the Point Adolphus areas near Glacier Bay are world famous for the gathering of these gentle giants.

Also in Gustavus, we have a number of charter boats that will take you out for a custom trip on the water. We are pleased to recommend several local captains: Woodwind Adventures is new, and we are excited with the flexible service Fritz and Kate offer. In addition, Sea Wolf Adventures Rusty and Kimberly Owen offer a great service.

Our community supports other activities - like the 36 par, 9 hole Golf Course and Husky Ranch for dog sledding.

We have many local artists -- the Smokehouse Gallery is a co-op of residents of Gustavus - Camalou Studio offers sculpture and masks - Heidi does scrimshaw - Fireweed Gallery (and Soda Shop) offers alaskan artists from all over the state
